Clinical assessment & referral

Your symptoms, medical history, allergies and current medication are reviewed before treatment. Clinical screening and assessment determine whether IV therapy is appropriate. Medication requires a prescription where applicable.

IV hydration and supportive care do not cure the underlying cause of vomiting or diarrhoea. Further medical assessment can be arranged through our doctor; clients who need a higher level of care are referred appropriately.

IV therapy is not a substitute for urgent medical care. Severe or worsening abdominal pain, blood in vomit or stool, confusion, fainting, significant weakness or persistent inability to keep fluids down require appropriate medical assessment.
